A Pescadero engagement session just seemed like the right thing to share after the crazy last few weeks we have had. Pescadero is some of our favorite stretch of coastline- it’s relaxed but rugged and we love photo adventuring there any chance we get. The session we are sharing was particularly lovely and watching the sunset over the cliffs is always a favorite! We can’t wait for these two to tie the knot this summer and we had so much fun walking the hills with them! We’ve had some really amazing elopements, weddings + engagement sessions these last couple of weeks so big apologies for the radio silence over here. Can’t wait to share more soon but for now- enjoy this relaxing day from Pescadero….uh we wish we were there relaxing but for now, back to the inbox:)
This pretty Deer Park Villa wedding was a stunner for sure and we can’t believe we haven’t shared it yet. We are still trying to do some major catch up on our blog from last seasons celebrations. We’re still documenting weddings almost every weekend this season (and will for sure share those soon we promise!) but it feels great to share all these amazing days from last year. Jocelyn + Domingo got a bit of rain on their wedding day out in Fairfax, CA (does everyone in California remember what kind of October we had last year…..a really rainy one!). The rain was just in the morning and cleared up right before their first look (yay for portraits outside!). They said their vows in a grove of redwood trees and were able to have dinner under the stars as planned. We loved the playful signage incorporated throughout the day and all the modern details in their decor. Jocelyn is a visual merchandiser for StitchFix and she brought so much of her own eclectic style to the day. These two had the sweetest love story and were a dream to photograph! We hope you enjoy their beautiful day.
Alright, today we have for you a recent underwater engagement session. We’ve been trying to post on Mondays but it was a busy weekend and here we are posting on a Tuesday. We had an awesome wedding down at the Santa Lucia Preserve this past weekend (can’t wait to share more from that beautiful day) but today we have this fun session from the Paradox Hotel here in Santa Cruz. It’s not everyday that folks are excited to get into the water with us, so when that daring + adventurous couple shows up and is game we are always happy about it! These two wanted to swim around for their session and we always love using the water housing so it worked out swimmingly (no pun intended). We jumped in the pool and this is what ensued! It’s sunny and gorgeous here in Santa Cruz so we figured we’d share this session of swimming pool fun wishing we could teleport back into the water. Enjoy!
We thought we’d share this Bay Area engagement session on bikes with you all this Monday because, well, it’s Monday and this session just feels like a fun Saturday kind of day. We loved meeting up with these two in their neighborhood and taking their Public Bikes out for a cruise (if you don’t know Public go check them out- super great bikes!). We spend a lot of time on our bikes (riding to the farmers market, riding them to work, riding them around with a chiweenie in the basket) and it was so fun to document these two doing the same thing (minus the chiweenie). Their wedding is coming up quick and we can’t wait for their day on the Russian River this summer. It’s gonna be a good one because well, these two are some of the sweetest and the Russian River is one of our favorites so we know it’s going to be good!
We have been busy little bees over here but wanted to share this beautiful Tehama wedding that was featured on the blog Carats and Cake recently. This wedding was gorgeous with a sunset ceremony overlooking views of the Pacific and the rolling hills of Carmel Valley. We got to team up with some of our favorites including Josh Harney Productions, Fionna Floral and Aerialist Press. Wedding season is in full swing and we are feeling so blessed to be invited into the lives of such amazing people to document their love stories. As we get ready to dive into our really, really busy season we are counting our blessings and remembering so many amazing celebrations from seasons past. Like this pretty day! We are getting excited for some more beautiful weddings out in Carmel Valley coming up soon! Okay hope you enjoy the pics and I am off to the inbox- have a great day out there!
