Sun and Life Photography

Farms and raspberries and bees, oh my. We met up with Lisa and Aaron over in Watsonville at an epic Raspberry farm.  These two live the country life (I’m not going to lie, Jeff and I were having a bit of lifestyle envy) miles of farm land, rolling hills, an awesome black Labrador and nothing but peace and quiet. Lisa and Aaron suggested meeting up out at their house and wanted to take some photos around the farm where Aaron works. We had an adventure  hiking around oak covered hills and hanging out in the tents where the raspberries grow.  There were a TON of bee’s happily working away while these two calmly stood in the rows of berries- so brave! Lisa and Aaron you two are rad and we are so excited for your wedding this summer!

Time is flying- wedding season is here and we are getting excited to head out to Napa this weekend for an awesome wine and vine wedding- yay Amanda and Jacob!  This week has been great- Jeff and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary with a little staycation here in Santa Cruz, with all the traveling we did last month we were both happy just to stay in town and enjoy the rad place that we call home:)

We had a great weekend full of sunshine, engagement sessions and lovely lovebirds. We met up with Tarah and Zach over on the Westside and headed up to ‘the trees’ North of town for some photo fun.  We finished the night out over at Burger yummmmm with some delicious micro brews and I’m not naming names but someone got a Kim Kardashian which is a double bacon cheeseburger between two grilled cheese sandwiches….woah burger.

We took a bit of a hiatus from our everyday Santa Cruz lives and hit the road for a month of travel- the Pacific Northwest to Haiti. We shot photos of many different things from snow covered Mount Baker to the streets of Port Au Prince, and are now back in the swing of hanging out with love birds~ check out these two; Alexandra and Tyler! We met up with them on a gorgeous, sunny day here in SC for a little beach hiking/frolicking (Tyler you are the best beach frolicker ever) and exploration of the little town Davenport, just north of SC. We made a day of it with these two and ended the night at one of our favorite spots The Crepe Place watching bluegrass and drinking some delicious Poppy Jasper! Good times! Alexandra and Tyler you two are fab and we can’t wait to hang again soon and of course October can’t get here sooner!

Point Lobos is such a rad place and we were stoked when Nicole and Rodrigo mentioned that they like to hike around the park and wanted to do their engagement session there. It’s right in between Carmel (beautiful) and Big Sur (awesome) and the park has such a Pacific Northwest feel with all the shore pines and rocky gullies, it really is like hanging out in a painting. China Cove was closed this time of year (pretty sure all the seals are hanging out there with their baby pups right now!) so we couldn’t make it over to the mouthwash blue waters, but walking around in the neighboring bays was an awesome way to spend a Sunday Evening.
