Big Sur Engagement Session | Helen + Eugene

Okay so the image below is for sure a favorite from our Big Sur engagement session with these two. What a day we got down in the coves and cliffs. It was sunny and beautiful with the fog just lingering at waters edge. It made for some moody images and we were so happy that Eugene + Helen suggested meeting up in one of our favorite places for this shoot. These two are totally sweet and we can’t wait for their wedding next month at The Smog Shoppe in L.A.  They literally climbed mountains with us and we were beyond grateful for their adventurous spirit.

We have been experimenting with anamorphic lenses a lot lately (the effect in the image below and all of the cropped super bokeh-y images) and really just love the cinematic feel of the imagery. It provides a super rich feeling and we can’t wait to share more images with our new, favorite, gold (yes it’s gold) lens.

We are gearing up for some exciting times around here with two conferences coming up. One takes place in a glampground with three hundred other photographers –  read more about it here . Everyone stays in Yurts, cabins or tents right in Santa Barbara at one of Jeff’s favorite surf spots (what are the odds right?).  The next is in good ‘ol Vegas with thousands of photographers- something like 15,000 I think, so two totally different energies, expectations + experiences! Anywho enough about us, let’s get to the good stuff- these two sweet souls and an epic photo adventure day down in Big Sur- enjoy!
